Like this www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/home_and_garden/bedding/120641671_home_collection_200_thread_count_100_egyptian_cotton_duvet_cover_set_mink.html?hnav=4294967000

I'm thinking of getting new bedding but have a limited budget. Is this sort of thing good or is supermarket egyptian cotton really just a bit rubbish?

Our current duvet has a rip in the core that ds keeps fiddling with and making bigger! Blush

From previous experience I have to say supermarket version of posh is usually a false economy - it doesn't often wash well. Tried several types and they all went funny shapes.

Have you tried clearance sales for the big department stores? The best stuff we got was from Debenhams and House of Fraser. Both do massive discounts when patterns and colours are being changed. I live in the poverty-stricken North so we do get better sales up here, but my superking sized fitted sheets were £10 each for very good quality.

Someone at King of Cotton let me into a little secret once which is that their stuff is identical jolly similar to White Company but they charge much less as no expensive shops/Sloaney staff gels to pay for Grin...
