Really comfy duvet and sheets for pregnant insomniac!

I admit I usually buy duvets that look nice and/or are easy to iron...but now I'm pregnant again its all about comfort! Can anyone recommend any sets that are really comfy to sleep on? Should I be going for 100% cotton? Are there different types of cotton that are comfier than others? What about thread count and silk/satin numbers? I just need a good night's sleep, help!

Many thanks!

Definiteoy cotton i,d say
John lewis is what i have, and a king size duvet which means i,m rarely cold as its 14 tog plus no fights about duvet hogging.

I have just treated myself to some 300 thread count Egyptian cotton stuff from Homesense ( not too expensive). I haven't put it on the bed yet but hoping it will be v soft.

Dorma bedding is lovely and smooth and feels silky and cool against your skin. Think it's cotton?

should add that i also have a couple of 1000 thread sheets from duvet warehouse which are lush but still not quite as nice as Dorma
