Feather or foam filled cushions?

Which are better on a sofa? I've only ever had foam so not sure of the pros/cons of feather... Looking to purchase some new ones circa 40 x 40cm.

goose feathers are better than duck feathers as duck ones wiff a bit when warm. A good inner liner stops the feathers escaping. Getting a size just a bit bigger than the cover and regular plumping keeps them looking shapely rather than flat.

Do make sure you have a good liner for feathers. I'm soooo sick of picking up feathers after a cushion is moved or plumped. I've had 8 years of it so they have lasted well though.

Feathers are an allergen, so you might unexpectedly make someone ill.
