In Sainsburys today I was lured by a set of Sainsbury's Cook's Collection Heavy Gauge 3 piece bakeware set. Large roaster, small roaster and baking tray.

Fridge/Freezer safe and oven safe up to 240 C.

But handwash.?

What's the worst that will happen if I put it in the dishwasher. Most things in this house have to be DW safe to survive.

It was half price, £12.50. Humbug .

Go for it, I put everything in the dishwasher. apart form the inner to my slow cooker and that is only because it is too big and very heavy.
It might discolour I suppose.
Good luck

Agree with horupu - I put some habitat hand wash pans in dw. The polished finish gone a bit but I will take that over hand washing all the time.

If it is anodised then it will discolour and, potentially, lose its easy-to-clean aspect. Anodised is, however, very easy to clean by hand.

What Prettycandles said - DH is a dw afficionado as well and tries to put everything in it - our (probably Sainsbos or similar) non-stick bakeware started to lose its non-stick - as in, it started to peel off. This was Not Good and they had to be ditched because I don't want non-stick stuff in the food. :(

He has mostly learnt that non-stick stuff doesn't go in the dishwasher now.

Anodised isn't the same as non-stick coating. It won't peel off or affect your food if it is damaged. I still use my dishwasher-damaged anodised bakeware, but I always line it as it no longer cleans up easily.

IME when something says that it is not dishwasher-safe, it generally isn't. It may not be damaged immediately (like anodised), but will be eventually (like wooden spoons or melamine).
