Anyone know about ovens-mine is not going on!

As the thread says, have a fan assisted electric oven. Has decided not to switch on today. No light, no fan coming on. Nothing. Help?

Is the mains switch on?

have you accidentally turned the automatic cooker timer on? Because the oven won't turn on to cook manually if you have.

Is the clock set? Most won't come on if the clock isn't set.

Is the clock set? If the time is flashing on mine, like when the power has tripped, it won't turn on.

No light even - is there an isolation switch? Has the fuse/circuit breaker gone maybe?

Is the clock set? I had one that wouldn't come on if the time wasn't set on the clock.

When this happened to me it was because someone had been dicking around with the timer...

yep-I do believe someone has been dicking about with the timer. I have tried all different settings but its not working. It is switched on at the mains. The hob is working fine. Light not coming on on the oven and neither is the fan. The grill not working either

oh its working again! Just fiddled about some more with the clock. Thanks everyone! (even cleaned the oven in preparation for the guy coming to fix it)
