Do you have a Bosch Exxcel dishwasher?

I got a slimline one a while back but have only used the Eco programme overnight. I have visitors at the mo and need to get dishes washed between meals but I can't figure out how to change to a different programme. Does anyone know?

The buttons work for the set-up when you hold them down at switch on to set the water hardness levels and holding down the reset works too, but nothing else. Can't set the time delay, change the programme etc. Manual is no help, keeps mentioning programme buttons (9) but (9) is just a row of leds. Am I missing something or do I have a faulty machine?

I just turn it on and press the relevant button on mine, but it is about 6/7 years old and may be different to yours.

PigletJohn · 26/12/2011 18:24

what is the model number?

lisaro · 26/12/2011 19:23

ooo dunno now, 'tis old. It has the on/off button on left and 5 buttons on right with a couple of extra lights.

PigletJohn · 26/12/2011 20:32

you said you had the manual, the model number shoould be on the front.

Bosch dwrs usually also have numbers on the top edge of the door (you can only see it when you open the door a couple of inches)

Sorry piglet - I answered a your q obviously meant for OP. Duh.

Hi lisaro. Thanks for reply. Am in bed hoping that chickenpoxy baby is going back to sleep, so will look 2mrw. Started with srs45 and ended with e48 but can't remember middle bit.

I wonder if the childproof lock might have been set? This prevents the programme being changed by locking the buttons. The lock is set by pressing button "B" for about 4 seconds. When locked, "CL" appears in the display. Pressing "B" for another 4 seconds unlocks it.

The lock stays on if there is a power cut, or if you unplug it, but should release when the machine runs right through to the end of the programme.

Your machine is probably a SRS45EGB/01 or SRS45E48GB/18. The instructions are different. I looked at the /01 booklet.

PigletJohn · 27/12/2011 13:03

(of the six buttons, "B" is the 4th from the left and says "reset" under it)

Issy42 · 28/12/2011 15:40

Thanks Piglet, It just says SRS45E48GB on the sticker - nothing on the manual. It's not the childproof lock sadly, I already checked that. However I haven't checked the physical childproof lock (that you seem to need a pin to change) that is shown on the back page of the instruction booklet. I can hear my dd waking so best get to her quickly before she gets the socks of her hands and scratches her chickenpox. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again Piglet. Have just figured out that you have to wait for the dishwasher to start before you can change the cycle to a different one. Strange way of doing it but it works.

Mine can be reset if I press the 65 and 35 buttons at the same time.
