The creatures are stirring, I think it's a mouse

Im hearing horrendous chewing noises coming from the built in wardrobe. It's mice, I caught one the other day, but all the traps have been empty since. Anyone have any tips on how I can exterminate the buggers? We have an old poorly insulated house, so I expect there are plenty under the floorboards. Do they climb? Do I need to bleach everything?

mice are smart little buggers and breed like mad, get the sticky traps and put them down where you have seem a mouse run, it wont catch one straight away but will eventualy, make sure you have no food where they can get it, poisen is usless cos they just run right past it, once youve had one mouse they will keep coming back there really hard to get rid of, your best bet really is to get a cat there the only thing really tat would be a long term solution, i live in an old house in the country and have always had mice here and there, they live in the insulation in the walls and under the floor boards and behind the cooker are just afew of their favorite places, but iv had less of them sinse my next door neighbour has got 3 cats and every now and then i let them in, just keeps them at bay, i will get my own cat once my baby is bigger

You shouldn't use the sticky traps they're cruel Sad

Get some of the old fashioned snap traps and bait them with peanut butter.

I have a cat, but she is elderly and not up to the job so have put peanut butter baited traps and poison down in floorboard. They don't seem to be sucked in by the traps though, I've only caught the one so far but can hear them.... Blee!
