An extremely boring Q about cushions. Seriously, it'll have you nodding off into your cornflakes.

Do you have cushions on your suite?

If you do, do they match?

I'm changing my cushions cos I've changed my suite. The old one was cream and this one is green and so the cushions don't match! - red furry ones, black leather ones, cream ones with red spots, red silk with a chinese style pattern - a real hochepoche!

Which looks better, in your opinion? lots of different styles flung randomly around the suite, or a set of identical cushions?

All this worrying over cushions!

I grew up in a cushion free home (don't want to think about that that might mean!).

I now have a brown leather sofa with a few matchy cushions but have just bought myself 3 beautiful handmade cushions with beach huts/ seahorse appliqued on them. (I live by the sea)

Clean and kinky I can live with that.

I have a cream sofa and 2 sage green armchairs....I have green cushions that match the chairs on the sofa and cream cushions that match the sofa on the chairs both supplemented with plain sage green silk cushions. It would look elegant if 3yo didn't like making mouth shaped dribble marks on them because it's funny to wind mummy up

Sounds really nice.

I've thought about different coloured seats, but I feared it wouldn't look right. But what you describe sounds lovely.

Grin I like you, you're funny.

Your cushion choices clearly indicate you are some sort of deviant though.

I bought DS1 4 cushions from M&S the other day, to complement his new IKEA day bed. £150 they cost me Shock!!!

That wasn't a boring experience, I tell you ...

HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 14/12/2011 17:01

I know. I didn't tell DH that, that's for sure.

In fact, I didn't even really work it out for myself. Looked at the individual price, failed to engage brain, picked up 4 and took them to the checkout. When she said how much it was, I just handed over my card, whilst internally I was shrieking "How much?! Fucking hell!" but was so shocked I just carried on and bought them.

they are very nice, though!

HecateGoddessOfTwelfthNight · 14/12/2011 17:20

I should bloody hope so for that price Grin

Oh no, bran, he definitely appreciates them! He is snuggling into them, lounging around on his new bed, surfing the net, etc. Just as well ... Grin

Grockle · 14/12/2011 23:33

My mother has come to stay and tonight, when she decided to go to bed, she lept off the sofa, looked at the cushion and said, 'so how does one plump these then?'

I think you'd like her, hecate Wink

You lot are all very highbrow. My DS got cushions from Primark at £4 a go and very nice they were too with pictures of London buses and tube signs on.
