Where does your ironing board live? Storage solutions please!

I'm looking for a storage solution for the iron in my new, unbuilt utility room.
Where do you store yours?

That was meant to say ironing board!

I keep mine upstairs in the bedroom as that's where I do the ironing while watching tv. No help to you though.

When I was a kid we used to have ours hung on the back of the utility room door on two hooks....any use?

We left a 15cm gap between the end of a run of floor and wall units and the wall, in a corner IYSWIM. Slots in there, along with brush, mop etc. Nice and neat.

Thanks, but it's a sliding door, so wouldnt work...

Like the sound of that shoulders hadn't thought of just leaving a gap..

My aunt had a tall thin cupboard built into her new built in kitchen for hers. I am insanely jealous!

Mine lives propped up in utility or up in the living room

I don't actually like to see it, so a cupboard is probably best. Does anyone have one of those ironing boards that pulls out of a drawer?? Do they have a name?

My mum has a special wall mounted ironing board hanger hook thing which also has a wall mounted iron holder above it. It's great and very efficient at getting it out of the way. Mine is in the cupboard of doom under the stairs.

In a tall cupboard in the utility room along with the broom & mops etc

mine is also in the cupboard under the stairs - open the door, fling it in and hope for the best!

I have a housemaid's cupboard for the iron & ironing board, the vacuum cleaner, buckets etc with shelves for cleaning products and laundry detergents etc.

We have one of these.

My ironing board is stored up and ready for business, currently next to my bed, but occasionally on my (long) landing.

I was thinking of getting a single wardrobe (white) to go in the dining room for my iron and vacuum? Will have to measure it first of course.

with Hanging Rail I like the look of this one.

What's an ironing board - have even heard reports of an iron thing existing! Mines called the tumble dryer ;)
