It is 1 yr old. I filled it with salt and water when i bought it. After that i forgot to refill it. It was working fine until now but this week the dishes are not coming out clean, then i noticed the Salt symbol is on so i got off the lid to pour salt and water and it is full of water Confused Why is this?

If yours is like mine then the salt just needs to be poured in even though the water will cascade out as the salt goes in. Fear not it is the way they work!

The water is there to dissolve the salt.

They are all like this. Pour the salt in, the water will not go away.

I will pour the salt tonight then, Thank you very much.

If the dishwater had no water in it at all, then it would be open to the sewer.

Also, the water softener has to be constantly hydrated.

I didn't think about sewer amerryscot, i was imagining a magic invisible pipe that gets rid of the water, just like this, into the thin air. Magic. Grin
