Our ancient washer (13 years old and daily use in a house of cats, dog and 2 toddlers for the last 4 years!) has bitten the dust. I am excitedly looking at new models and am a bit overwhelmed by the bells and whistles. Old machine din't have 30 degree wash, let alone handwas, self-cleaning detergent drawer and the like!
My main question is drum capacity - no idea what old machine capacity is, but must be small. Is a 7kg or 8kg drum enough to wash a medium tog double duvet, or do I need to shell out for 8/10/11kg?
If anyone has a particularly fab new machine, can they recommend it and why, please.
