Patterned roller blinds...how do you fit them?

They are only patterned on one side so when they are rolled up at the top it shows the back of the fabric which is white, is it normal for them to be fitted like this?

Well the ones I have are coloured on one side only. So from the outside you see white, but in the room it's the colour. As in you can't see the white part except when outside. So I'd expect the pattern to be similar.
