Is there an easy and effective way to do this short of re-painting the entire wall? [hmmm]

Oh god, I read that as 'buttock' Grin

As you were.

bunjies · 25/11/2011 12:56

Lol at buttocks Grin. The mind boggles at what you would have to be doing to get buttock marks off the wall. Anyway, would also be interested in an answer to question of blutack mark removal as we live in rented accommodation.

Fuzzywuzzywozabear · 25/11/2011 12:58

I'd like to know too

Justonecheese · 25/11/2011 13:34

Lol at buttock marks too!!

Bunjies we are also in rented.

Hopefully someone will know the answer!

I think I saw a aggie and kim once using WD40....But dont hold me responsible if I'm wrong.

with scraps of blutak, you get a fresh new piece, press it hard against the scraps, and pull it sharply off. The fresh piece sticks more firmly to the scraps than to the wall.

If you invest in a soft wooly rug you need not have buttock marks on the wall.

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/11/2011 16:25

I think it's the greasy residue op wants removing, not the actual blutack. It is vile stuff.

MrsMonkey · 25/11/2011 16:30

Sugar soap helps - we have a pack of sugar soap wipes for cleaning woodwork prior to painting and I tried these on a blu-tack wall. Nasty stuff though so use rubber gloves and keep away from the littlies - didn't get it off altogether but a huge improvement.

Thanks MrsMonkey/fluffy cloud-will try!

Piglet john-yep good tip too!
