Well I also have 3DC and DC4 due next year - my house isn't tidy but pretty clean most of the time.

With this many children trying to keep the house tidy and clean is like trying to shovel snow while it is snowing! Unless you completely ignore all of your children and solely focus on cleaning of course.

My Dh only seems to make comments about mess when he is stressed - I tell him to piss off and clean it himself if he is not happy!

i don't think your problem is housework tbh.

i suggest strongly that you find something really important to do at the weekends (or apparently during the day if he is unemployed at present) that requires no children at all, and feck off and do it. it's time he learned how to be a parent and a partner. he's an adult, not your fourth child. and you are his wife, not his slave or his mother.

Oh Esselle I have a magnet with that phrase on Grin

OP, have you tried Flylady? It's a bit twee and odd in places, but it does work! There's a few threads on here about it - just don't sign up for emails!

Thanks girls Smile I agree sometimes about dh but he should be starting work in the next week or so, so I am going to have to learn to juggle housework & being a parent to all dc
