Bio washing liquid in Vax

I've read that people use bio washing liquid in their Vaxs, if you use it how much do you put in? We've just bought a new Vax and while it is good, the patches of carpet I have previously cleaned with bio are still cleaner, so thinking of using it in the Vax. One problem, as it's brand new, and it says on guarantee that using a cleaner other than the recommended on invalidates the guarantee.. so what would you do? Take a risk & try the bio or just buy more cleaner?

I wouldnt risk it, and I usually go for the cheapest option on all things cleaning but the Vax shampoo is low foam and washing liquid will foam like you wouldnt believe.

If you go to homebargains they often have cheap shampoo for carpet cleaners.

Thanks, maybe I should just do that..

After finishing the bottle of Vax liquid that came with my machine,I have always used the cheap bio liquid in mine(about 4 years now),it works fine. There was a thread on here a while back and quite a few people use it as well.

I always use persil small and mighty when I hire rug doctor.

You only need a 'slosh' Grin and it brings our - cream - carpet up like new and it smells bloody gorgeous.

imo they only tell you that you HAVE to use their poxy cleaner so that they can scam you out of another £20!

HecateGoddessOfTheNight · 25/11/2011 07:12

oh - and it doesn't foam any more than the proper stuff does.
