Hi I washed some blood stained clothes in the washing machine with ariel stain remover (twice ) and it didn't work. Is it possible that I can try again with a different type or will the stain be fixed now? Also can you recommend a stain remover to use please?

Blood stains should always be soaked in cold water soon as poss, but works when dried too. If you cold washed may be ok, if hot prob will be fixed.

Try Hydrogen peroxide, that works great! but test first! Unless it's last chance and will be tossed if the stains don't come out.

Sorry to say that stain's fixed now, op.

do you use bio detergent? I have never had problems getting blood out on a 40 degree wash (dd has nosebleeds in bed!). Try rubbing in washing up liquid and water and then rinsing in cold water before washing again with bio detergent

de-solv-it stain remover spray is also good for stubborn stains

HedgeHop · 22/11/2011 15:34

Seona, that de-solv-it remover's dandy but what we need to know - I'm looking at you, hadak - is why did you commit the moider?

I always get rid of stains with washing up liquid and bio powder too, you can put soda crystals in the wash too and try a pre soak in biotex.
