I'm painting today does that count?
As soon as DD is collected by her dad I'm in the attic painting the; finally dry; newly plastered walls.
Carpet down on tuesday then I will move my bed up and have a lovely new big bedroom.
DD goes into my old room which is twice the size of her existing one.
Win win all round.

Sounds like a good plan, what colour?

I've already started but DH and DS are in the way so I'm cleaning around them. Downstairs is hoovered and dusted, kitchen is clean, laundry is on. I'll tackle the bathroom as soon as everyone is showered and dressed. And then I'll Hoover and dust upstairs later this afternoon after we've been food shopping... And finally... Ironing tonight (but I'll have to find something to watch because I normally iron when downton abbey is on).

Gosh my Sundays are exciting. Wink

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2011 09:58

Food shopping then start the housework. Or the other way round? Living the dream here.

Nagoo · 13/11/2011 10:03

I'll watch you from under a blanket on the sofa in my pyjamas. If any of you want to get me a Brew while you are up, that'd be grand Wink

washing's done, dishwasher empty and kitchen clean. What more can you ask?

lucytails · 13/11/2011 10:22

every sunday is cleaning day in my house. already i have tidied and wiped over kitchen, loaded dishwasher, changed the bin bag, put some washing on the line and another load in the machine. am next going to do some hoovering after i've finished this cuppa and get off mn.

CaptainMartinCrieff · 13/11/2011 15:13

I'm done except for the ironing... Phew!

DH has taken DS for a walk so I'm on the sofa drinking coffee and eating iced buns! Smile

Sparklingbrook · 13/11/2011 15:14

I have done everything except the ironing too. But DH and DCs are due back from football v soon so the muddy kits and boots etc will be everywhere. Angry

CaptainMartinCrieff · 13/11/2011 15:31

Yes sparkling I know why you mean... I'm savouring my clean and tidy house because it really will NOT last once my boys get home. Sad

TheTamingOfTheShrew · 13/11/2011 16:01

I've done bugger all! Had a sort of cleaning day in mind, but then the glorious weather made this a no-go today. Might do it later when it's dark. My house is a mess and this is not how I like to live at all but sometimes I just feel irked at having to spend my day off cleaning up. Get no help either which makes it even harder.

Xroads · 13/11/2011 16:12

I'm cleaning, only having a quick tea break, I'm late starting due to being out last night and not getting up til midday oops...

Dh and I have
emptied bins
washed my bedding & about 8 more loads........had to put the heating on to try and dry it all! Still got 1 load on the floor waiting!
sorted dd2's room including her draws because we got her sisters old clothes out the attic yesterday as dd2 has had a growth spurt so they have all been washed so now I need somewhere to put them all.
Food shopping collected and put away
cleared the pile of clean dishes off the draining board

now I'm off to
dust and hoover from top to bottom
clean bathrooms
mop floors
put more and more clothes away
make our bed

dh is ironing and then going to collect dd's and fix his dads printer

I can see me sitting down again about 7ish if I'm very lucky! and dont keep sitting down

trying to ignore the fact i feel eurggh hangover tired cba

lucytails · 13/11/2011 17:11

since my last post this morning i have:

  • hoovered downstairs
  • changed all beds
  • done done both washing loads and dried on the line and is back inside. Will iron whilst watching tele tonight
  • cleaned main bathroom (bath, sink, shower, loo, floor)
  • cleaned downstairs toilet room (loo, sink, floor)

i'm quite happy with what i've managed to get done today :) its always nice to start the week with a clean and tidy house i think.

Xroads · 13/11/2011 18:35

Good going lucytails!

I have
cleaned upstairs bathroom
hoovered upstairs
Finished dd2's room

then im going to get in a nice bubble bath and chill out maybe eat something anything else can wait til tomorrow

stofstg · 13/11/2011 20:46

everyone on here has been busy today it seems. I sucessfully did all my tasks before the in law arrived and now i have just cleared up and wiped down the kitchen. May do a quick clean of the bathroom and call that it for today i think.
