How to get poo stains (sorry) out of clothes

Hi,

Does anyone know, in the absence of decent sunlight, how to get breastmilk poo stains out of clothes? I wash with Ariel Bio and spray Vanish stain stuff on beforehand. Stains are light but definitely there.

Thanks

Milton ....

Milton is good but will bleach??

I used to keep a bucket of biotex solution and pop soiled clothes straight in there to soak, long time ago but seem to remember it helped.

I googled how to get dried clay out of my sons school shirts and the answer was put in half a dishwasher tablet!

I tried it in a small shirt stained clothes wash only along with regular powder and it worked a treat - maybe worth a shot for poop?

I find that scrubbing them with hand soap gets it out, although it can take a while.

Napisan.

Just winter "sunlight" will normally work, although you might need to give it a couple of days.

Atlastadragon · 11/11/2011 22:29

Ace laundry bleach.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/11/2011 22:33

Agree, winter daylight still works, just needs longer, 2-3 days

Fairy household soap to pretreat - wet, rub soap on and scrub once well, rinse then work some more in and leave to work some magic before chucking it all in the normal wash. But see the other thread on Fairy soap!

Napisan is great. Just put it in the detergent compartment with normal powder/liquid. Seems to get rid of DD's nuclear poos!

bessie26 · 12/11/2011 18:53

A scoop of vanish powder in the wash does the trick for anything from DD2 (we use Ecover detergent)

i have discovered a new detergent called amway. (you cant buy it in shops)

it gets baby poo and blood out of everything.
it also doesnt contain fillers, and many other nasties, smells nice and you only need a tiny amount.

im converted!

sunshineandshowers13 · 12/11/2011 22:21

napisan definitely. If horrific soak for a little while first then pop a scoop in with detergent too.

also works a dream on scabby trainers!

Astonish stain remover is fab on poo stains, just spray on before washing, top stuff.
