it's a sharpie red marker. i only noticed it this evening, ds had put it on at some point today and i assumed it was his paint (washable) so told him to wash it off with a baby wipe but it wasn't budging and when i asked him to show me what he used it turns out it was the marker.

any tips on how to get it off? i have nail polish remover but worried it might damage the surface of the machines?

Ive used nail varnish remover on my combi boiler to get permanent pen off. It worked a treat! Only bloody thing that worked, tried everything else!

ok, i'll give the remover a whirl and see how i get on. thank you. Smile

I've heard hair spray is supposed to also be good ut haven't actually tried it, so disclaimer applies!

If you write back over it with the pen it should come off if you wipe it whilst still wet.

You could also try WD40

Write over it with a dry wipe whiteboard pen and it should then rub off.

Cif? I use that to clean off everything and it hasn't failed me yet.

the nail varnish remover worked. there are still faint orange stains but hardly noticeable. thank you all!
