Upholstered, rectangular objects - like coffee tables.... but not

What are they called? I'm looking for a large soft thing with legs that will go between our sofas in drawing room - a coffee table will not work as it will be too harsh. I think they are called ottomans, but I can't find many when I google....

They may count as footstools.

I think an ottoman is usually a blanket box.

I know the sort you mean, I think they are lovely. I did a quick search on eBay for large footstool and found this (there a 7 pages altogether, I only looked at one) Here

If you put footstool into the John lewis site you do get that kind of thing.
