Vinegar question

LetUsPrey · 06/11/2011 10:08

After reading a few threads on here, I'm going to get some bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, probably some tea tree oil too.

I've seen this vinegar in Asda but, although it says distilled white vinegar, it also says it's malt vinegar.

Is this the right kind to get? Thanks very much.

The right kind for what?

Hahahaha sorry!

The right kind for mixing with bicarb and using to clean around the house.

yes for cleaning you want the distilled vinegar. the one that is 44p for a pint. mostly it is distilled malt, doesn't matter as long as it is clear.

Thanks for your very quick answer.

Is it wrong that I'm quite looking forward to this? I don't ever usually do the cleaning - well until DH tuts at me and asks whether I'd mind helping. Blush

I use asda basic vinegar for cleaning, it works fine and doesnt leave a smell. It's fab for the kettle, I pour it back into the bottle when it's cold and reuse it.

Why would you mix vinegar with bicarb?
