I've been looking at steam mops on Lakeland but I'm a bit overwhelmed. Can anyone suggest which one is best?

Thanks

I have had a steam mops over the years, and I really don't rate them. They don't actually get rid of any dirt - all they do is loosen it.

The best steam 'mop' I ever had was a hand-held one that just blasted dirt out of little crevices, which you then cleaned up using other methods. You could also use it in places other than the floor. The tank was small enough that you could get it up and running to do quick spot cleans.

The floor ones where you attach a cloth with a rubber band are basically rubbish.

Ooh I totally disagree, sorry mindthegappp! I had a blasting one and it just meant you had to clean things twice. Now I've got a Bionaire floor mop (think it was about £50-60, from Argos) and its brilliant. Its the only thing that cleans my stupid impractical rubber floor in the kitchen. It does get rid of the dirt, it all ends up on the pad which I then just chuck in the washing machine.

Thanks zgaze - will look into that one, any other ones to look at?

I just bought a Shark V19016 pocket steam mop from Tesco
I used the double up your voucher deal which meant it only cost my £19.99 - It is expensive at £19.99 but it`s just fantastic
Today I cleaned the kitchen, hall & 4 toilet/bathroom floors in no time, brilliant result floor has never looked so clean.
I have toddler boys my floors gets a lot of action but will think not be dreading the next time I have to get the mop out.
