Family organiser 'wall' - ideas please?

Where on earth do i start? Got a spare wall in kitchen and desperately need inspiration for how to turn it into a space where all the dates, bits of paper from school etc go. Got a family organiser calendar which i dont get on with.

How do you organise yours, if you have one?

Ibrought 3 huge corkboards, (one for each of us) let dd and ds decorate the edges of theirs and put a fab photo of them on their own boards, the 3rd board is mine and family stuff. they look very colourful and i am always organised, they each have their own calendar pinned next to it. Hope this helps.
