I do love my kitchenaid which i have had for just over twelve months but i do have a couple of niggles.

It vibrates with any sort of quantity and not huge amounts - i find i want to hold it to keep it from moving?

Secondly it sometimes does not mix the butter with the sugar well and i can find the metal bowl is lines at the bottom wth just butter iyswim

Just watching some baking program on tv and hers just seems a smoother less jolty mixer than mine

Am i alone in this - should i moan to kitchenaid?

Definitely worth talking to KitchenAid, I have had mine repaired a couple of times with various problems, the only thing is you have to be prepared to live without it for a couple of weeks if it has to go away.
As regards leaving mixture in the bowl there is an adjustment you can make - there is a video on their website which gives details.
I love my KitchenAid but do feel it may not necessarily live up to all the hype but I do use it loads and am glad of the long guarantee.

Do you have one of the metro design or flex edge beater blades? They are excellent for creaming butter & sugar. I bought mine from Amazon and I use it more than the rest of the attachments.
