Cloakroom/ downstairs toilet

Hello,
Just moved house and the downstairs toilet has coathooks in it. Does anyone put their guests coats in the downstairs toilet?

I know it's often called a downstairs cloakroom, but I'm not sure I'd be happy if someone put my coat there. On the otherhand, the coat cupboard is quite far from the front door so maybe it would be more convenient. Any opinions?

Doesn't sound too unusual, assuming it's not such a tiny room that the coats are hanging over your head as you wee! That was certainly the arrangement in the house where I grew up.

Yes, ours is v small and the coats are right next to the toilet. we hang them there, we don't really have much choice.

Just read properly sorry! Our guests are not the type to need coats hanging up, they usually toss them on the back of the sofa :)
