Stinky vomit carpet

DS2 threw up all over everything the other night. I have since replaced his mattress cover, changed all bedding, cleaned the seat pad on the rocking chair, and scrubbed the carpet.
The room is still a bit whiffy, which I think is from the carpet.

Any ideas?

MAke a paste with water and bicarb of soda. Rub into smelly area and leave to dry the hoover up...Brill stuff swear by it !

or sprinkle liberally with bio washing powder, leave over night then hoover off.

I do the bio washing powder - although I mush it in well.

Zoflora - a weak soloution, gets rid of every smell, it's great :)

I used this on a rug which was quite whiffy - worked a treat.

Thanks all!

Autumn I quite like the look of that stuff, does it actually clean or just refresh the carpet?

It seemed cleaner, but not as good as something like a vax or proper shampoo. There were still sticky/black marks from DSs food spillages.

But it didn't leave everything wet which was an advantage. Smelt stacks better and kept the citrussy smell for months.
