Talk to me about Toasters

Our toaster is about 10 years old and a tradional 2 slot affair. However, of late we are finding that bread doesn't fit anymore and I either get folded toast, or a 1" strip of bread at the top.

Anyone recommend me a good, cheap machine that takes larger slices? TIA

Dualit is not cheap but it lasts. Been with DH for 11.5 years & always had this toaster, he had it a number of years before we were together too.

Play the long game.

Was just about to say - don't get a Dualit! I bought one because I liked the look of it, and we've had it for 5 years, but it's always toasted unevenly and now the timer mechanism has gone and I'm not sure whether it's worth buying a new timer or not. I'm impresssed yours has lasted as well as it has, Tigress

Dualit all the way. Had ours for 16 years. They service and repair very reasonably.
