Tumble dryer shrinkage question

so f I tumble dry somthing, say a t shirt. And it shrinks, will it Continue to shrink further with each subsequent tumble drying or will it have done it's shrinking and stay the same size henceforth?

I would think that once it's shrunk once it wouldn't shrink any more. But I can't prove this theory Grin

I used to think that thinks would shrink only once. But then I had a uniform including polo shirts and the damn things shrank majorly the first time, and alittle bit more each time after that. (And no, I wasn't just putting on weight, I got suspicious enough to measure the damn things every time I washed them!)
