I have in the past always brought cheap pillows which need replacing within a year - post children I don't have the money for even cheap pillows so now am sleeping on crap pillows. My Christmas present to myself is going to be nice pillows. Tell me about your nice ones, where did you get them and what did you spend? Thank you x Smile

I got some lovely ones from The White Company!

Oooh, I've just had a look at the website and they have 20% off at the moment!

john lewis goose down and feather. The £35 one is fantastic.

reckoner · 27/10/2011 19:54

not cheap, but after buying loads of different ones I wanted good quality that would last longer than a month or two

M&S I think they're about £10 each and they are F>A>B

highly recommended!

wonderstuff · 27/10/2011 20:00

Excellent - how long have you had the M&S ones LTNSA ?
[off to google white company]

Tempur memory foam ones. The kind that are weirdly shaped so that they actually have good support for the neck. They are very ££, but we've had ours about 10 years so far, and they are still perfect!

Oooh, and can I be so bold as to suggest that if you don't already, I would recommend using pillow protectors underneath pillow cases? They absorb all the, errr, spit and sweat essence of sleep and can be washed easily, unlike the pillows themselves. Again, I got some really thick zip-up ones from The White Company - my pillows remain pristine after 5 years!

I have pillow protectors - they haven't stopped my cheap pillows going flat!

Oh, as for type - I got the duck feather and down ones I think - 2 for each of us. They've lasted really very well indeed. A great Christmas present for yourself!

Hello Wonder!

I don't think pillow protectors stop pillows going flat, I think they just help keep them clean.

White co every time. Wash once a year at home, tumble dry in huge launderette dryer. Perfect.
