Sticky Cupboard Child Proofing Locks

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any tips they could pass on to me- I cleverly bought and quickly stuck those cupboard childproofing locks that attach with double sided sticky stuff in my rented apartment and now cant get them off! I`ve tried dabbing fairy liquid around the thing but its not working... help please, im moving out and need to get these off!

Try a bit of meths. If that doesn't work try white spirit, or go to your local window company and get some upvc cleaner.

Obviously try on a small, obscure area first, to make sure none of these chemicals ruin the finish.

Thanks BedatHogwarts! I persevered with the fairy liquid leaving it to soak for a few hours and did finally manage to pry them off!
