cleaning a leather sofa?

how do i do it? Its a second hand chesterfield and its a bit grubby. tried leather balsalm for sofas and hasnt done much good.
also, tried a wet wipe and it was great.......is this a bit of a silly way to clean it? thanks

I use a cloth, warmish water and a bar of soap (like dove). Wipe down with wet cloth after cleaning to remove and residue. Then dry with a cloth/towel. I then use a leather balsam to get the shine. Our sofa looks like new after cleaning in this way...although it does take a while!

I use wet wipes and out leather sofa is pretty old and looks good.

ha. i would love to do the proper soap etc but am too lazy/ tired. wet wipes it is. thanks.
