Water marks on worktop

HowlingBitch · 28/09/2011 12:11

Posting on behalf of my mum, She has high gloss worktops (really shiney black marble effect coating) and she has tried almost everything to get the water marks off of them.

I told her about the abyss of cleaning knowledge on this section and she demanded I post for her :o

Any suggestions?

Do you mean the limescale-y type residue? The best thing I've found is Waitrose's own brand limescale remover. I've also used a small amount of limelite - but make sure to wipe over afterwards with a different damp cloth because I think limelite might damage the shiny-ness of the surface.

Haha, Thanks! I'll tell her to try that.
