Steam mop - anyone else disappointed?

I purchased a steam mop from Lakeland earlier this year after rave reviews here on MN.
I was hoping it would solve the problem of the floor drying with streaky marks but have to say that, after using it yesterday, the floor looked so streaky when it had dried. I found myself going over it with a damp cloth to try to get rid of them but that only seemed to make it worse.
Now I'm wondering should I go back to an ordinary mop of some sorts. Anyone tried that new cleaning fluid which advertises that it dries with no streaks?

I didn't think much of mine either and have since invested in a "whizz-mop" which I luuuurve.

But that's because it's not turned up. Since ordering the bloody thing a week ago, Home Delivery Network in Stoke 'can't find it' but know it made it into their depot, and despite me contact both the depot and Littlewoods, they don't appear to be communicating with one another to confirm that HDNL have in fact stolen lost my steam mop, and for Littlewoods to send a replacement one out for nothing.

I did not envisage this much grief over a sodding mop.

I emailed Lakeland - said I wasn't happy with the mop and had an email back saying a refund cheque is being sent to me and they will come and collect the mop! What excellent customer service.
Now I have to find another mop to replace it - suggestions?

I recently got a black and decker one. The cleaning cloth gets satisfyingly black and I haven't spotted any streaks although with my flooring they might be hard to spot. The only slight problem is that because it leaves the floors so dry it can be hard to see where you've been.
