<howl> how do I get a grease stain out of my new sheepskin slippers?

I am gutted, having saved up for some new snuggly slippers for autumn, I have poured hot olive oil and halloumi fat over them. BIG round grease mark. Have googled and applied several mounds of talc over a few days - no dice.

any ideas..?

Alcohol? (I don't mean for you to drink...to get over the upset!! :)
I mean some sort of neat rubbing alcohol to dry it out and take it off with?

If In Doubt Apply Alcohol - 'tis my motto! I'll have a gander for the rubbing stuff, ta :)
