At the moment, a book about place name meanings. I like a book to read in the bath that isn't the one I have on the go and can just be dipped in and out of.

until it was packed up for moving we had

No book reading on the toilet here but I do sometimes quickly check mn! Never in there long.

Hate books/mags by the toilet. Never touch them when I see them in other people's houses. Plus, I never have time to read on the lav, even if I wanted to.

My mum has books about Buddhism, and takeaway menus. She has never in 15 years ordered a takeaway so I have NO idea what they are for.

readride PMSL cakey poo bums?! They're only books! I don't read them cover to cover! Theyre really just there for something to look at. I don't really put them there to allow people to spend hours with their rear ends parked on our lav filling their brains with uselss info, just nice to have something to have on the shelf. .... and I do wiped them over so theyre clean.

The last time there was a thread like this I think I counted 43 assorted books and magazines. Visitors often disappear for a poo and we don't see them for days.

I do like to think that they replace things before wiping though.

BodyUnknown - i guess the menus are there to get things 'going' get the gastric juices flowing does she suffer from constipation? or maybe not thanks to the menus!!!

I think it's disgusting (sorry) to read in the loo - so I have to it in secret and leave no clue.

National Geographics and Private Eyes in the upstairs bathroom, and Posh London Hotel mags, museum leaflets/floor plans, exhibition details and M&S toilet humour books in the downstairs.

If it is any consolation I do draw the line on recipe books or Good Food magazines in the loo though!

An excellent book called 'passing time in the loo' ,(in lieu of a classical education) it's a mix of facts, poetry, quotes, biography, jokes, history, trivia questions.

I'm on volume 2, which is as good as volume 1.

The kids like it, too.

My granny had a phone installed and bookcase full of books above her loo. The phone was brown. Yes, really...

original awesome idea. You could actually place your takeaway order whilst on the loo!

oh i miss the time when i used to read on the loo

i read the toast fashion catalogue on the loo the other day

the price of the clothes made me laugh so much my stools were loosened a treat

I even hate the thought of books in loos - horrible just horrible
