I was looking forward to my 3 hours of peace and jobs while ds was at school this morning but dh has stayed home as a "surprise" and has already disrupted the morning routine. Have I ever mentioned that I hate surprises?

Done

Pots put away
Washing up done

i have cleaned the kitchen (but not yet done the floor) and the utility, and the downstairs cloakroom.

Still haven't got around to doing the sweeping in the kitchen or doing the hallway, but I still have time! 5 more minutes and I'm shutting down mumsnet... Grin

Tortoise · 08/09/2011 13:27

Ouch wolfcub. How did you do that?
I've tidied round in the kitchen.
Swept floor.
Washed up so glasses that dw kept leaving dirty.
Loaded and unloaded dw.
WM loaded and turned on.
Hoovered front room.
Walked dogs.

DDs need to put washing away after school!
DS2 needs to sort his room after school!

swanriver · 08/09/2011 13:51

what are you lot doing here? Stunned silence at sight of vintage flyers..hope more turn up for me to say hello to...

Ds1 is at Secondary School this week for first time!!!

Wolfcub · 08/09/2011 13:57

Hi Swan, lovely to see you. We're having a reunion, trying to get the old gang back together for some support.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 08/09/2011 14:33

Hi swan!
Morning all

Thanks for thread G-O

have had a busy day but not flying will be on it this afternoon.
Have put on a PTA hat and in the middle of organising a Doctor Who Event.

Anyway have sausages out of the freezer for dinner.

Wolf hope your hand is better - how did you hurt it?

Hello to Hatti - don't htink we have met before unless you are in disguise. Hope you have had a good day.]

swanriver · 08/09/2011 14:38

not much time to chat today..as I've already chatted elsewhere, but
in midst of general muddle, trying to sort out desk etc. The secondary school curriculum now makes keeping all these blooming books [hoarding emoticon]worthwhile, but conversely the system needs to run much more efficiently if ds and I are to make it through the Autumn Term together.

Ds has another fracture (arm) and is lovely but temperamental
Ds2 has been diagnosed with mild ASD and is lovely but temperamental
Dd is lovely, but can be temperamental...
Dh is lovely but can be temperamental
Cat supremely calm and cheery!

grouchyoscar · 08/09/2011 16:07

Great to see you Swan I missed every one so it's good to get back.

Vacced the front room and staircase. Landing stil needs doing but, my legs have gone kaput. A member of the pastoral team brought DS home Blush also helped to clear the dog poo of his bike tyres and cleared up additional leavings in the back yard Hmm we only have a cat Confused

So enforced no FLYing but hell, the house looks better already

Sounds like everyone is having a really productive day. We went out for a light lunch after DS finished school. He is very tired today and, with dh at home, his behaviour is challenging today.

I cut my finger tidying up, it's a hazardous occupation, which must be why I don't do much of it. I was tidying up the TV cabinet and the door slammed shut, the lock had been left out (so cupboard locked but open iyswim) the lock scraped against my finger as it shut and ripped a chunk out from the nail bed down to the first knuckle. Luckily only a plaster job once it stopped bleeding. Bloomin' hurt though.

The app sounds interesting PMcP but I haven't come across it. I spent yesterday setting up a flylady cozi calendar to try and keep track of ds's school appointments, PTA, parents evening etc.
