Winter Duvet

At the moment we've got a 4.5 tog synthetic filled duvet.
DH is a hot-body and refuses to have a thick duvet ( 10 tog too warm for him)

I was thinking of treating myself us to a duck down/feather duvet 4.5 tog.
I'd get a synthetic thermal sheepskin mattress cover as well.

Will this be warm enough, as well as keeping DH from combusting?
I'm told duck is more insultating than synthetic.

would he compromise and you could have a 7/7.5tog duvet? Or you can get dual tog duvets where one side is warmer/cooler than the other. They can be pricey though

Could you use 2 duvets, a 4.5 for your dh and a warmer one for you?

You could put a blanket over yourside of the duvet. Or underneath - extra layer works wonders!

I did a press-stud fastening on my Dc duvets to double them up (their duvets are quite thin)

So should I do this on my side, press-stud a single duvet on the kingsize?

And save myself some money to spend on jumpers and chocolate
Packet of big press-studs cheaper than K.S. duck down duvet...
