Does DS really need a wardrobe?

My DS is 3 and his bedroom is pretty tight on space. Until now he's had a wardrobe which houses my wedding dress and party dresses but it seems that the space it takes up could be better used for playing and the wardrobe could be sold.

I realise that once he's a teenager he may need a wardrobe but is there any need for it before then? Will school clothes need hanging up? (I plan to buy non iron shirts & trousers when the time comes.) I understand the need for a wardrobe for girls, but not sure about boys.

What do boys keep in a wardrobe? Should I get rid of it?

Thank you for that. It's a good idea to put a bar at a lower level, I hadn't thought of that!
