Until I can save up some money to get an all singing all dancing steam iron I need to look after this one because it's already wrecking my clothes
After burning a pair of trousers, the dried on burnt mark is still on the iron - how can I get rid of this?
Does anyone have any home remedies? Or should I just buy some cleaner from the supermarket?

FWIW the temperature gauge thingy on the iron seems to be totally off, that's why I'm unable to control the temperature.
