We're selling our 4 oven Aga and need to move it out of our current kitchen. It must way a ton, literally and I have no idea how to go about getting it out of my house.

Has anyone done this and got any hints / tips?

We did this - we sold in on ebay as buyer collect. The guy who bought it came round with a couple of mates and dismantled it into pieces and loaded it into a van. Job done. Apparently he googled and downloaded instructions.

They should all dismantle but you might need a registered gas person to help out if it is gas fired - ours was coal.

Which county are you in? I'm looking for one and could move it.

Jade80 I'm in Herts but it looks like I might have sold it to a mate. Will PM you if you're still interested.

4/5 Short lengths of scaffold tube and a long crow bar.
Lever up corner, shove one tube under, slide it along, another tube under repeat till you've got the whole thing on rollers.
Push along moving rollers from back to front.

Sensible shoes, no small kids around, at least three people (although we did it with two). Take care.
