Kettle smells of vinegar ... help, need coffee!

So, I followed a tip and filled the kettle half full with vinegar, left for an hour and then filled with water and boiled. Have boiled it 10 times or more and still can't get rid of the smell! I think it is probably in the limescale that is still stuck on, any ideas how I get rid of the smell?! Bicarb?

Why did I decide to do this?!
