Carpet cleaning,rug doctor

Has anyone used rug doctor? My living room carpet is filthy,I'm wondering if it's worth the rental,also how much cleaning fluid for one room (& a few spot cleans on newish carpet in bedroom).

Yes I've used it & it is fab (although very yuck at how much dirt comes out of your carpets!)
It was a little while ago but I seem to remember 2 litres doing the whole house (I would do all carpets whilst you have it rented if I were you)

Finally when homebase do their 10% or 20% days Rugdoctor rentals from them are discounted too. HTH
