If they are childen's pants and in good condition I sometimes put them in charity bags. My old knickers get binned.

Otherwise I dont really know what to do- seems a shame for any fabric to end up in landfill. But - there is nowhere within travelling distance that recycles fabric - so I now have literally binbags full of such stuff awaiting a solution.
What do you all do?

For the DCs I have been giving them to pre-school for spares, they are always grateful. My DCs are 5 and 7 now so going to be getting a bit old for that soon, my local tip has a rag bank which I take unwearable stuff to.

give them to Oxfam - they recycle all old textiles

Stick them in those recycling things you get in supermarket carparks.
