What do you store large kids toys in?

we've got pretty good storage for the small toys, but toys like the playmobil pirate ship and imaginext aircraft carrier end up dumped behind the couch. What I really need is a big cupboard I suppose, but in the absence if one dies anyone have any more interesting suggestions?

My lounge floor

Every time something large arrives I automatically assess it for suitability as an "outdoor toy" in which case it can get shoved in the playhouse along with everything else the garden toys.

I have this under the stairs (only 1 section wide, but link to that didn't work). I have storage crates of toys on the bottom sections and big toys on the tall - under the stairs - top shelf. It works ok.
