Laura Ashley sofa covers, dry clean only, any way round this?

Just got a very nice Laura Ashley sofa second hand, but covers and cushion covers need cleaning, the tags say "Dry clean Only", is this a hard and fast rule or does anyone know of an alternative, advice, tips appreciated as it was a bargain and will look good as new if spruced up.

my sofa covers are dry clean only

they have been washed several times at 30C with bio, on a low spin and line dried. they have survived & always come out looking as good as new.

my old sofa was second hand and also had dry clean only removable covers. they had the same treatment and also survived and went back on the sofa much cleaner.

i would look at what the fabric is actually made of.... if its cotton or similar worth a risk in the washing machine IMO

also, you can try putting them back on while damp... if easy then let then dry completely but if really tight then easier to get back on when slightly damp
