Mucky hands - washable emulsion

I have very steep stairs and no banister (nor room for one). This means the wall of the stairs get quite filthy!

Can anyone recomend a washable emulsion paint that can easily be cleaned?

It is driving me nuts.....

what about kitchen and bathroom paint?

I might try that - off to B&Q in a bit. So looking for something very washable.

Dulux bathroom and kitchen paint. My kitchen walls get splashed with food but easily wipe down and I have had no problems and the paint has been up for two years now.
