What do you think about having a cleaner for an hour a day? Someone that can keep the house in a reasonable condition during the week. I have a blitz at the weekends....

if you can afford it, why not? We have 2 toddlers and I work f/t and we don't have a cleaner at all, but we are in a great routine about getting everything ship-shape before bed (dishwasher on, washing up done and sink cleaned, washing done, dry and folded).
Hoovering gets done once a week. Beds changed every 2 weeks (cots more often).
