Soft-close toilet lid has stopped being soft-close!!

Anyone had the same problem? Do they eventually stop soft-closing? Poor DH - was a bit of a shock I think

no they shouldnt. we have used them for years and they usually break from people standing on them etc, but never stop being soft close in my experience
