?Suncream? stains on brown UPVC window frames? How to remove?

We have (pretty hideous) brown wood-effect UPVC windows, but I've noticed pinkish "stains" appearing all over them this summer.. they are often small hand-shaped stains at DC height and I can only think this must be suncream? Could it be? And if so, how can I get it off?

An excuse to replace them?

I can't for the life of me remember what they're called, but there are these white foam blocks that you dampen and then rub against dirty marks. They crumble a bit like an eraser, and take the dirt with them. They work very well on our white UPVC.

Alternatively, both Lakeland and John Lewis do bottles of stuff specifically for cleaning UPVC.

Gawd - I'd love to replace them BUT THEY ARE BRAND NEW 18 months ago put in by the tasteless crazies we bought the house from... UUURGH - was my major wibble point when we bought!! SO can't really , for a whole host of reasons, justify getting rid (yet!)

I tried the magic erasers on the suncream stain on our (new) black composite door. Nada. Marking place!
