Anyone got a drying cupboard?

I'm thinking about getting one and was wondering if anyone has one rather than a tumble dryer. I hate tumble dryers and thought this might be a good alternative, but they're bulky and as a result not many people have them. I was going to put mine in the garage.

If you have one what sort do you have and what's your opinion of them?

What is it?

Here

Like a hot cupboard where you hang clothes to dry.

We had one when I was growing up - a full-length 'Belling airer'. IIRC usually things went out on the line first, or on the overhead airer in the kitchen first rather than straight out of the washer. We had it in the house, used it mainly in winter when it provided an extra source of heat (no central heating)

I suppose it was a good idea at the time but personally I much prefer tumble dryer - less faffing about putting everything on rods (or clothes hangers), and things come out needing less ironing.
